Episode 7: Tiger’s Head

Start strong… but then a super weak finish. 虎头蛇尾 (hǔ tóu shé wěi)

Literal meaning: “Tiger head, snake tail.”
Real meaning: When someone begins with lots of excitement, but doesn’t follow through. Used to describe projects, plans, or even people!

🗣️ Words to Know:

  • 虎 (hǔ) = tiger

  • 头 (tóu) = head

  • 蛇 (shé) = snake

  • 尾 (wěi) = tail

  • 青蛙 (qīng wā) = frog

  • 种子 (zhǒng zi) = seed

  • 睡觉 (shuì jiào) = to sleep
