Bonus Episode: Climbing the Stork Tower Poem

A 1,200-year-old poem about going farther

Hi friends,

We’re trying something different this time: reading Chinese poetry! Thanks to Crystal for the excellent suggestion.

Climbing the Stork Tower 登鹳雀楼 (dēng guàn què lóu) was written by the Tang dynasty poet 王之涣 (Wáng Zhīhuàn).

In this bonus episode, we’ll read the poem together, explore its deeper meanings, and break down each line in English and Chinese.

Do you think poems help BecomingLanguage 更上一层楼? Let me know if I should do record more poem episodes!
