Episode 3: Riding The Tiger

When you start something risky… and want to stop but can’t. 骑虎难下 (qí hǔ nán xià)

Literally: “Riding a tiger, and it’s hard to get off.”

Real meaning: once you start something risky, it can be very hard to stop or back out

🗣️ Words to Know:

  • 骑 (qí) = to ride

  • 虎 (hǔ) = tiger

  • 难 (nán) = difficult

  • 下 (xià) = to get off (or go down)

  • 兔子(tù zi) = rabbi

  • 太可怕了(tài kě pà le) so scary
